Camel Wrestlings In Selçuk

Every year third Sunday of January we have a Camel Wrestling Fest.  It is a tradition of Selçuk for 28 years. And it is one of the biggest wrestling's in Aegean side.  

Camel wrestling is a sport in which two male special kind of camels (Tulu camels) wrestle, for a female camel. It is very common in Turkey agean side. (Selcuk, Aydin, Nazilli...) 

Tulu camels are specially grown and trained by professionals(savran). And bloodline is also very important as horses.

The tradition of Camel Wrestling was started at Incirliova - Aydin at  19. century.
